Seward Harbor

Tuesday morning, we traveled down to the Seward Harbor for our whale watch tour.  Before the tour, we had a few minutes to walk around the harbor area.

Very quaint harbor

Several shops and businesses lined the harbor.

A lot of fishing goes on here.  Seward was wiped off the map with the 1969 earthquake.  It was the worst the area had ever seen, and we learned that if a 9.xx earthquake isn't bad enough, three tsunamis followed, destroying the whole town.  If you know Madison, she loves learning about natural disasters. Her eyes got huge when she heard the town had been taken out by three tsunamis. Since then, they have rebuilt the tiny harbor town.
