Our last Tuesday, we spent the whole day touring Denali. The national park is huge, and the only way to see most of it is by bus. The first 15 miles are open to personal vehicles, but after that, it's bus. You can go as far as approximately 90 miles into the park by bus. How far you go depends on how long you want to be on a bus.We opted for the eigh-hour round-trip bus ride, which took us 68 miles into the park (the longest and next to the eight hour trip was 11 hours).

We were fortunate that our bus wasn't crowded the day we went into the park.
Jennifer didn't have to work this day and was able to go with us.
Within a few miles, Flash was out for the count.
Caribou
The bus stopped approximately every hour for restrooms/sightseeing. It was very cold and windy again, even if the boys don't look it. They literally ran off the bus, took the picture, and got back on.

Antlers...kids loved trying to pick these up. They were extremely heavy.

Bear with two cubs! The grizzy bears up there are very blonde in color and easy to spot in the green landscape (not to worry...more bears were spotted later).
Anytime wildlife was spotted, the person was asked to yell, "Stop," and the driver would stop so everyone could view. Madison and Luke both loved looking for animals.
