Happy Easter!

On Easter Sunday, the kids and I went in search of a good Easter meal, and we found it at my parents' house in Wilmington.  We also found my brother, sister-in-law, and nephew Wes.  It was a great way to kick off Spring Break, spending time with our family; however, by weather standards, we are far from Spring Break.
My sister-in-law, Karen, made this bunny cake for Easter.  The kids quickly started consuming it after their Easter meal. Once they were refueled, they were ready for an Easter Egg Hunt.

Wes enjoyed the frosting off of his cupcake.

Madison and Luke were delighted with their desserts.

The yard was prepared for the hunt.

The kids, who "weren't looking" waited at the door.

The crew, and yes, we missed Cousin Alaina.

Alex thought this was the best hiding spot.

Luke loved hanging out with Uncle Clay, or maybe he just loved playing Angry Birds on his phone. At Christmas, Clay asked me why I had taken it off my phone...I think he's figured it out.  Luke did tell me on the way home he wanted to "live near Uncle Clay because my own kids would like him."

 Craft time

Then, we had an impromptu birthday bash for Luke. He got a bug vacuum and was delighted.  Grandma and Grandpa gave him a cool Solar System book, and he hasn't stopped looking at it.  It kept him occuppied on the drive home today.
