We are fortunate enough to live a couple hours from the beach. Monday, we made a trip to the coast. We had to return my dad's trailer we had been using for the fence rebuild. My parents were in Oklahoma, but we were able to drop off the trailer, change clothes, and head toward the beach. We made a stop for lunch at a local seafood place we like.
The seafood restaurant in Calabash, sits on the waterfront, and after lunch, the kids wanted to watch the shrimp boats coming and going.
Then, we drove down the road to our favorite beach, Ocean Isle. While a beautiful day, it was a little windy/chilly on the beach.
Luke put his Easter bucket to good use, along with the Spiderman swim trunks he got from Grandma and Grandpa for his birthday.
Raft duty
The water was cold! It reminded me of summers in Maine.
While "Spring Break" time, the beach was almost deserted.
Snack time
COLD!
Alex's favorite part was having Edward build a caslte and then smashing it.

Edward and Alex built this castle at the water. Alex didn't want the water to get it.
