A Birthday Party for Luke

Sunday afternoon, Luke had several of his friends over for his birthday party. Like last year, he wanted a taco bar at the park behind our house. For his theme, he wanted a pirate party, and everything turned out really well. It was a beautiful afternoon, around 85 degrees, and all seemed to enjoy the nice, laid-back atmosphere.
The food table-I fixed beef tacos. Everyone had a choice of hard or soft shells. I also made a Queso dip. My neighbor, Kellie, made her awesome homemade salsa. We have a good deal on that. She borrows my food processor and makes salsa for both of us. Thanks, Kellie!!

Gabi and Alex-Gabi is 9 months older than Alex, but they are the same size!!

The pirate cake!!!!!! The baker at our church made the cake again this year.

All is edible!!

Lots of little people

Batman

Great writing on this gift!

Luke loves this dragon.

Alex absolutely loves our neighbor, Kellie. He always goes to her and asks to be picked up. He does it all the time.

The eye patch and bandana were the goodie bag treats. The kids seemed to love them.

My friend, Heather, and Baby Kara. This was Kara's first party...she was a party animal.

After the party...this party animal was eyeing the cake for more. Yes, all the cake is gone!!!

Happy Birthday, Luke! We hope you had a wonderful party. Thanks to all of our friends for helping our sweet boy celebrate his birthday!

  1. What a great party! I LOVE the cake... she is awesome! Now you need to find a new cake-maker in NC. (No, sorry, it's not me.) ;-)
