School Award Day

School ended here June 10. The kids had their end of year award programs that last week.

Luke had a great year! North Carolina does not do letter grades for K, 1, and 2. They give numbers based on above, on, below grade level. Luke is doing great. He ended the year with his reading on a third grade level. He loves math, and he received the art award and music award. Awesome job, Luke!! Good work for first grade!!

Madison also had a fantastic year. Here , she is receiving her straight-A award for the fourth nine weeks. There were nine kids, but she and one other were the only kids in third grade to have straight A's all year!!!!!! Way to rock it, Madison!!

Madison and her awards-she is a great student and was also one of just a couple of students in the whole school to receive fives on both the math and reading state assessment tests (five is the highest score in both math and reading).  She is delighted to keep her same teacher for fourth grade, as her teacher is moving up a grade level and keeping most of her class.
