The Rest of the Mt. Vernon Pictures

These were the last of the pictures on my camera from the trip.

 Cousins!

 They liked this sheep.

The kids were intrigued by the blacksmith shop.

 They loved all the gardens.

 Beautiful trails

They could not believe these trees were planted by George Washington.

The little boys spent most of the day "reading" the maps.

I thought this turned out to be a great picture of the kids from the back porch of Mt. Vernon.

Madison is already asking, really begging, to go to Monticello.  She LOVES history.

More Air and Space Museum Pictures

I finally downloaded the pictures from my camera, so here are the ones from the Air and Space Museum.  I highly recommend it. It was awesome!!

One little part of the museum

 Very interested in everything

 Space Shuttle Discovery

 The back of Discovery

 Enola Gay-Very cool!

They liked the "Clemson" plane  :)  Great colors

This area was awesome!  It is the restoration wing of the museum, and you can watch them work on planes.  A computerized scroll tells you what you are seeing, i.e., the name of the aircraft, purpose, war, etc.

 Discovery from the second floor

Part of the museum from above

A fun time with a lot of walking!
